Some paintings reach past the familiar and into the cosmos. Here, colors swirl like galaxies, nebulae bloom across the canvas, and stardust finds its way into every detail. These works invite you to wander through the infinite—where the speed of light bends imagination, and time itself seems to stretch and fold within the brushstrokes. And yes—Tavi keeps his eyes on the heavens, teaching me that discovery feels richer together.

There’s Nothing Like the First Time

This painting marks the beginning—the moment brush met canvas, and something shifted. A birthday gift from my sister became the spark, and with it, I fell headlong into the world of acrylics. The piece holds the wonder of first discovery, the thrill of not knowing what would emerge. It is both memory and momentum, the quiet ignition of a journey still unfolding.

Flare You Are

A star ablaze against the deep expanse, this piece captures the restless force of a nuclear inferno. Fiery brushstrokes radiate outward in flares and prominences, while the surrounding blues and blacks hold the quiet of space. It is both intensity and stillness—an eternal contrast, an echo of the energy at the heart of every cosmos.

Once in a…

Swirls of fire and ice cascade across the canvas, converging around a marbled sphere that evokes a blue moon—rare, radiant, and quietly powerful. Is it a comet’s birth, a collision of worlds, or a moment suspended between expansion and collapse? This piece invites the viewer to finish the sentence, to imagine what unfolds once in a lifetime, once in a universe, once in a blue moon.

Sol

This series, Nine Voices in the Void, began as a meditation on the celestial bodies that shape our solar system—and the stories we project onto them. Each painting is named for a planetary presence or mythic echo, imagined not just as worlds, but as voices: fiery, frozen, nurturing, ancient. Together, they form a cosmic choir—nine distinct expressions swirling in the silence of space.

The journey begins with Sol, the star that anchors them all. The voice of the void begins here—with fire. Swirling reds and yellows erupt across the canvas, capturing the restless energy of our sun. It is both origin and orbit, the pulse that keeps time in motion.

Mercurius

Second of Nine Voices in the Void. Swift and scorched, this piece channels the speed and silence of the innermost planet. Marbled textures suggest a surface shaped by heat and history, while the deep space backdrop holds its quiet momentum.

Aphrodite’s Twin

Named for Venus and third of Nine Voices in the Void. this painting glows with molten fervor. Beneath its swirling clouds and radiant hues lies a mystery—a planet of pressure and brilliance, where brightness belies the force within.

Terra

Earth, seen from afar marks number four of Nine Voices in the Void. Blues and greens swirl in familiar patterns, evoking oceans, forests, and the fragile balance of home. A cosmic love letter to the only world we know by heart.

Romulus’ Pops

Fifth of Nine Voices in the Void. A nod to Mars, the red planet—the mythic father of Romulus. This piece burns with ambition and solitude, its fiery tones echoing the dust storms and dreams of distant explorers.

Jove

Vast and commanding, this painting channels Jupiter’s gravity for number six of Nine Voices in the Void. Bands of color swirl with storm-like energy, while the surrounding stars seem to bend in quiet reverence. A voice of magnitude and motion.

Father Time

Inspired by Saturn, the keeper of time comes the seventh of Nine Voices in the Void. Rings arc across the canvas like echoes of memory, and the planet’s marbled surface suggests wisdom etched in orbit. A meditation on age, rhythm, and return.

Gaia’s Love

Named for Uranus, the primordial sky, this piece speaks to the bond between earth and heavens. Swirls of cool blues and ethereal tones evoke distance and mystery, while hints of light suggest the quiet embrace between Gaia and her sky. It is a voice of expansiveness—remote yet connected, a reminder of love stretched across the void for our second to last of Nine Voices in the Void.

Trident’s Hand

Neptune’s voice—cold, distant, and commanding. Swirls of blue and white evoke turbulent storms and hidden depths, while its presence feels both regal and remote. A final echo in the cosmic choir of Nine Voices in the Void.

Rings Are for Planets

Saturn, the jewel of the void, wears its rings like a crown of shadow and light. Inspired by Cassini’s gaze, this piece reflects the planet’s quiet majesty—the way darkness bends across its arcs, the way brilliance lingers in orbit. It is a meditation on beauty etched in motion, a reminder that even in silence, the cosmos adorns itself.

Earth-like

This was done with no drying between sphere and background—planet and void formed in one fluid motion. A circular barrier held the shape, but the colors moved freely, swirling into something strangely familiar. Blues and greens echo our home world, while fiery tones ripple outward like tectonic memory. It is Earth-like, yes—but also dreamlike, a reminder that recognition often lives in abstraction.

Dark Moon

This piece emerged from a single pour, held in place by a quiet boundary. A dry additive shaped the surface, forming terrain that feels ancient, cratered, and quietly alive. The result is a moon not of light, but of memory—a textured echo of something orbiting just beyond reach.

When Worlds Collide

This was my first experiment with boundaries—an early attempt at shaping the pour. The barrier slipped too soon, and the colors rushed together, forming a collision of texture and motion. What emerged wasn’t what I planned, but something better: a moment of chaos turned beautiful, like planets meeting in the void.

Orbit

This piece explores contrast—warmth and coolness circling one another in layered motion. The central pour radiates with energy, while the surrounding ring holds it in quiet tension. A pool of white paint settled unexpectedly near the edge, a reminder that not every orbit is smooth. But even in imbalance, something striking emerged: a clash of color, a moment of motion held in place.
