16×20-inch on stretched canvas
Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible people from Colombia — colleagues who became friends, mentors, and daily reminders of how art and work both thrive on connection. After finishing my Minnesota flag piece, I knew the next flag I wanted to paint was Colombia’s — a country that’s become part of my story through shared laughter, collaboration, and trust.
This piece grew out of that sense of closeness. The movement in the paint mirrors the way relationships can stretch across distance and still feel immediate, steady, and real. It’s a tribute to the people who’ve shaped my days, supported my work, and made Colombia the first place I hope to visit outside the U.S. — a place that already feels like it’s waiting for me.
