16×20-inch on stretched canvas
“Emergent Quiet,” and I had a rocky start.
It’s a silver swipe, and I used colors I reach for the least (yellow is usually benched). When I first lifted the swipe tool, I was honestly disappointed. It felt loud in places I didn’t expect and quiet in places I didn’t plan.
But the longer I’ve looked at it, the more it’s grown on me. The silver laced through the cells catches the light in this soft, surprising way, and the whole thing has started to feel like a slow kind of becoming. Not dramatic. Not showy. Just… emerging, quietly.
