16 × 20-inch on stretched canvas - This piece will be for sale in October.
In the swirl of gold, copper, red, and silver, this piece offered me a rare stillness—a moment of quiet amid the noise. Painted during the turbulent time while my mother was battling cancer, before she succumbed, it became a kind of refuge, surprising me with its calm despite the fiery palette during trying times. Not unlike the kind of solace my muse, soul dog, and namesake of my studio, Tavi provides: steady, grounding, and full of heart. While my father was lost to us before I began painting, my mother saw some of my art and mentioned multiple times that she saw how it calmed me. Her pride and support meant the world to me.
